Rajyasatta,

Kathmandu, July 23: Students from the Bachelor in Civil Engineering program at Aryan School of Engineering, Mid-Baneshwor, Kathmandu, recently visited the Nepal Eco Panel factory located at Jhaukhel, Bhaktapur.

The educational visit was organized as a part of their academic curriculum to gain practical insights into EPS-cement-based lightweight sandwich panels, a modern material used in civil engineering construction. During the field visit, the students were facilitated by Er. Krishna Sunder Kumpakha, a graduate in Earthquake Engineering, who guided them through the technical aspects and applications of the panels.

Nepal Eco Panel is the only prefabricated panel manufacturer in Nepal certified with three international ISO standards. It has become a key point of learning for civil engineering students across the country. The visiting students observed the composition, manufacturing process, salient features, engineering properties, and diverse applications of EPS-cement-based sandwich panels in real-world construction.

This hands-on exposure helped bridge the gap between theoretical learning and field-level implementation. The CEO of Nepal Eco Panel remarked, “Every year, engineering students from various institutions across Nepal visit our factory to understand the innovative manufacturing process and practical use of our panels. We are proud to contribute to the education of future engineers.” Such industry-academic interactions not only enhance student learning but also promote awareness of sustainable and earthquake-resilient construction technologies in Nepal.
